Pastor Jonathan joined the Pleasant Grove family in July of 2020.  With over 25 years of pastoral ministry experience, he combines a wealth of wisdom as a pastor to pastors with passionate and inspiring teaching as an engaging communicator.   While he has served in key leadership at some of the largest churches in the U.S., he and his wife are so happy to be called to Owensboro, Kentucky.  He has graduated with both a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies and a Master's Degree in Ministry and Leadership from Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, where he served on the Board of the Center for Ministry and Training.  It was also here that he served as Assistant to the late Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr. and met his wife, Cathryn.  He is currently completing his Doctorate in Ministry.  

Jonathan and his wife, Cathryn, have three children: Shay, Jonathan Jr. and Logan.  As a family, they love to serve God and love people.  They feel that God has called them to the people of Pleasant Grove and Daviess County and they couldn't be happier to call this place home!  They would love to welcome you home to Pleasant Grove, should you choose to visit with us! 

David Rodgers has called Owensboro Kentucky his home since 1990.  After graduating from Daviess County High School in 2004, David continued his education by obtaining his Bachelors of Music from Campbellsville University and his Master's in Discipleship Ministries from Liberty Seminary.  David has continually strived to honor God with his life and the calling that he has received.        

David joined the Pleasant Grove family and was ordained into the gospel ministry in 2008.  He now leads our worship ministry, along with his wife Kristy.  Together they thank God for their past blessings and look forward to what He will do again in the future.

Lenae Bell has been a member at Pleasant Grove since 2011 and joined the staff as Director of Children’s Ministries in January of 2020. Graduating from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Elementary Education, teaching in a Christian school for seven years, and being heavily involved in children’s ministry for many years has prepared her for the role in which God has placed her. 

During children’s church, as a young girl, Lenae made the decision to give her life to Christ. She understands firsthand the role children’s ministry can have in a child’s life.

Her mission is to capture the hearts of children for the Lord and help them to desire and develop a personal relationship with Him. She firmly believes that it is the partnership  with parents and families that helps children grow to their full potential.  

Lenae is the wife of David Bell and the mother to five pretty awesome children, Emma, Carson, Lila, Clark, and Julia.

Theresa Towery-Mayfield grew up in Panther, a rural community outside of Owensboro, Kentucky.  She has 30 years Finance/Payroll experience from working for the Daviess County Public Schools where she retired in 2017.   In September 2019 she joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church’s Staff as the Finance Secretary.

Theresa and her husband Allen have five children: Brianna, Whitney, Kensie, Maddi and Corey.  They are also blessed with eleven grandbabies.

Logan Lamb has been on the Pleasant Grove team since April 2021. Logan has had 8 years of experience as a Youth Pastor and has loved every minute of it. Logan has a passion for doing life with teenagers and helping them realize their true potential as Christ followers. He knows that teenagers are not the future of the Church, they are the Church right now. Logan is relatable to almost anyone and he is a creative, engaging and biblical communicator of the Gospel. He’s also an absolute sniper from the 3 point line and with a nerf gun! Logan has made plenty of mistakes and will continue to do so, but he loves Jesus with everything he has and wants nothing more than to see people come to the Lord. Logan graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelors in Christian Studies in Youth Ministry. 

He has been married to his wife Blair for 6 years now and they have a 3 year old son named Theodore. They also have another baby boy on the way! Blair also has a degree in Youth Ministry and together they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to loving others and building relationships with teenagers. They are so excited to have found a home at Pleasant Grove Baptist!
